The future of innovation and business in the Philippines is here!
On November 18, 2024, the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) and the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI) launched the DOST-PCCI Technology, Business, and Innovation Hub at the Commerce and Industry Plaza, Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City. This pioneering Hub is more than just a physical space—it marks the beginning of a bold new era for the Philippines, driving the nation’s ambition for a knowledge-driven economy and global competitiveness.
In DOST Secretary Dr. Renato U. Solidum’s message, he emphasized the importance of collaboration, stating, “Collaboration between governments, businesses, and civil society is essential for unlocking innovation.”
Alongside the launch of the Hub, the Philippine Technology Business Alliance was formally established through a ceremonial signing. “This will create opportunities for workshops, policy dialogues, and exhibitions of the latest science and technology innovations,” Dr. Solidum explained, positioning Filipino enterprises to thrive on the global stage.
The DOST-PCCI collaboration is committed to accelerating innovation, technology transfer, and the commercialization of scientific breakthroughs, helping local businesses grow and succeed in the global marketplace.
Dr. Solidum also shared a vision for upcoming initiatives like Program PROPEL, launching on December 4th, which will provide Filipino startups with integrated access to DOST resources, supporting their growth both locally and internationally.
The DOST-PCCI Technology, Business, and Innovation Hub, along with the Philippine Technology Business Alliance, ushers in a transformative journey for the Philippines—where innovation, collaboration, and progress converge to build a more resilient, dynamic, and prosperous nation.
